More than once we've taken the cars in thinking there were major problems and were then surprised to hear him say it was just something little and there was only a small charge (once it was even "No charge" when my pickup suddenly started knocking so badly that I had it towed there thinking I blown the engine!).

In terms of the larger builders in the Yuba City area, Interwest Homes is clearly my favorite for the quality of their construction, the quality of their neighborhoods and in the way they work with their clients. Ask for Darlene Earl. She is their top selling agent and knows their product better than anyone else.

Ed does both residential and commercial construction. He has built several upscale homes over the years and recently did a major renovation of our personal residence. Other major projects he has done include Cornerstone Plaza (corner of Gray Avenue and Butte House Road), St. Andrews Presbyterian Church (1390 Franklin Road) and the office and warehouse for Sierra Gold Nursery (5320 Garden Highway).

Don is a real artist with hardwood floors. We had him replace some damaged sections of flooring and you couldn't tell what was new and what was old when he got done. He has also done work for our neighbors. He's a great craftsman.

Yuba City Floor Covering is our favorite for carpet and vinyl flooring. They have several large builder accounts and that allows them to make volume purchases. We have always found them to be very reasonably priced and they offer very good service.
